Hello Members I am looking to buy a used 911 Turbo. 911 Turbo has been my dream car for many years and I think I am finally ready to make the purchase. I currently drive a stage 2 Audi s4 (2011 model). I test drove a 2011 turbo s recently and I was just absolutely amazed at how the car accelerated. It was almost a scary experience. slightly used 2011-2012 turbo/turbo s are $90-110000 while the newer used 991 turbo/turbo s are $135k+ I definitely like the design of the new 991 much much better but other than that, is there a huge difference between 997 turbo and 991 turbo to justify the huge price difference ? Would you recommend going with 997 turbo s or wait one more year and get the 991 turbo? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just had an eye opening experience at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta (Turbo vs. GT3). I thought the launch in the Turbo was intoxicating. It made me a little nauseous after a few tries. The GT3 launch was cool but the Turbo, WOW. It's just out of my price range. Used maybe in a couple of years. But I'd definitely go for the 991 with the new interior. I can't imagine the 997 Turbo or Turbo S being better than the 991 Turbo, but I've never driven them.

Having owned non-turbo 997S and 991S, I would wait and buy the 991. The 997 was a bit more raw but, overall, I prefer the 991.
