Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hi, What is the fastest (0-60) 911 (latest generation) from a general / factory / road legal point of view. I always though it was the 911 Turbo S?

POST 2Original post

Probably a 991.1 Turbo S. Once you get into the mid-2 second range, it no longer matters. What's the difference between a blink and two blinks? An upcoming GT2RS will probably beat that.

Try this. It's a very good site and fairly accurate IMHO. Porsche 0-60 Times & Porsche Quarter Mile Times | Porsche 911 Carrera, 928, 944 Turbo, Boxster, Cayman & more 0 to 60 stats! 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S 0-60 mph 2.9

POST 5Original post

Yeah, I've read multiple articles where they say it will be the last, gasp breath of the 991 line. Its probably coming. Not the GT2, just the GT2RS

POST 6Original post

The GT2RS will probably accomplish time travel. Sent from my StarTrek communicator using Tapatalk

POST 7Original post

I wonder if a 991 GT2RS will be faster to 60 than a 991 TTS. Will a GT2RS be PDK? It would be lighter for sure but if RWD like prior model then it would have a disadvantage in grip for a standing start vs the AWD TTS. Can't recall and didn't look it up but don't think the 997 GT2RS was any quicker than the 997 TTS. In any case when you get to the sub 3 sec range does it really matter?

POST 8Original post

All good points. I would expect it to be PDK but not AWD. The 991R will be MT. And yeah, at that point, its all a moot point.

POST 10Original post

Wow. Why spend all that money if it's gonna take nearly 3 whole seconds to get to 60 mph?

POST 11Original post

Cars and bikes? Pfftttt. This cat does it WITHOUT AN ENGINE in around 3 seconds. No data on lateral Gs, but the visual evidence shows astounding ability to run a life-and-death Savannah Slalom.
