Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

26 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Was searching throughTapTalk for a new guy posting thread. Feel free to move me if I am breaking forums rules. Hello from Dallas Tx. Picked up my old 06 911S i bought years ago and sold. The guy I sold it to told me he traded it in so I went and bought it back.It is out of warranty and 48,000 miles now. I figured what a great time for mods. I am looking for a tuning place around here and a local club. Nothing is coming up on google for local clubs. Not sure what mods I want, but I spent the night at the local 1/4 track and I got the bug Lajm4 [emoji256][emoji256]

POST 2Original post

Hello Lajm4, I am glad to hear you are back behind the wheel of the 911 again and enjoying every minute of it! We have a very wide variety of modifications available for your 911S . PM sent and I look forward to meeting your goals with the car!

POST 4Original post

Any time Any pictures or video of your 911S ? On a side note I was just in Texas for the first time racing in Lockhart, and I absolutely loved my experience. And the BBQ...I mean come on that is just completely unfair haha

POST 5Original post

Lockhart is bbq king forsure. No pics yet. At the dealer getting a complete workover to make sure all is good Lajm4 [emoji256][emoji256]

POST 6Original post

I will say I like the 911s , but already wishing I had just bought a turbo Lajm4 [emoji256][emoji256]

POST 7Original post

Also.. Any ideas on an estimated 1/4 mile time? I know they are not built for that, just curious? Lajm4 [emoji256][emoji256]

POST 8Original post

There is a lot to say for a turbo, but I am personally a fan of the raw power of a NA setup and the Carreras certainly have a lot of potential. Especially the earlier 996/997 as Porsche near handicapped these generations with their restrictive intake and exhaust design. In regards to 1/4 mile time there is really no way to estimate that as the track, car, and driver all differ. For example, I road race/autox a 1998 Z28. The first time i took it to the strip stock I ran a 14.2, the next few times at a different track I ran a 13.6. By the next year with new street tires I was running a 13.2. Full bolt-ons later with drag radials I ran a 12.6 at a third track. Then I took a look at a guy who was running the same car and same modifications as me and he was running a 12.0 haha. The only real way to know what the car will run is go and get some track time and improve yourself as much as the car

POST 9Original post

Was looking at your exhaust packages. Listened to a youtube of it with intake as well. The exhaust I currently have seems really loud and appears ti have headers already. Just unsure. Lajm4 [emoji256][emoji256]

POST 10Original post

Would you mind taking some pictures of your exhaust setup and shooting them to me in a PM? I'd love to determine what is on your vehicle currently, and then work with you to fine tune the setup to perfection

POST 11Original post

1/4 mile time depends on the driver, conditions, elevations, tires , the list goes on and on. You can get them from road and track, car and driver, etc, but they do multiple runs and pick the fastest time. You didn't pick the right car if your plan is too go fast on the 1/4 mile. You should find your nearest road track and test the limits there. Here is a link to 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. POST 15Original post

I messed up the color on my wheels. I used Mothers Wheel cleaner and it almost appears the wheels are bleached. Ideas how to get it off?

POST 16Original post

Wow. The car looks super clean and neat for its age. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

POST 17Original post

There is usually a warning on wheel cleaners advising the user to apply the product to an inconspicuous spot to avoid the problem that you experienced. At this point it would be best to just learn to live with it. The wheels will be covered with brake dust in a few days, which should mask the problem.

POST 18Original post

Lovely car, those wheels are fine, better than high gloss, kinda more business like.

POST 19Original post

Thanks/ up close it is very apparent. I think I need to get them powder coated now. I can't stand looking at them like this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

POST 20Original post

Before you get them powder coated I would go to the Detailer Domain thread and ask Phil (P9 sponsor) for some advice. He is a great resource.

POST 21Original post

Ty for the info. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

POST 22Original post

update.. after a few washes, the colors are returning to normal on the wheels. Appears the wheel cleaner just left a solid build up on the surface, but did not penetrate the actual finish

POST 23Original post

Ok, up for sale- just over 5000 miles a year on this. It is a 2006 911 s with just cleared 52,000 miles 10 years old now. Immaculate condition and RennSport here in Tulsa OK just completed all work including the 60,000 mile stuff as well. New rear tires as well, less than 200 miles on them. Buying a new one when this sells.

POST 24Original post

Listers look great in black. Good Lucy with your sale.

POST 26Original post

Tried posting in forsale, not enough post I assume Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
