Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Planet-9: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

...the new key? I just discovered that in the 991 brochure and thought it's a joke. Well, looks like the Porsche USB-Sticks they sell, I don't like it. What are you supposed to do with it? Place it on the table and people will take it and go for a ride between dishes and glasses. Does it come with wheels as an optional extra?

POST 2Original post

 when the spoiler deploys in your pocket?

POST 3Original post

At least there are separate lock/unlock buttons.

POST 4Original post

I like it. It could be a tad smaller/thinner. This is what I used on a loaner Cayenne.

POST 5Original post

That is what they have for the Panamera key fob. The USB stick was mimicking the Panamera key fob. Looks like they are standardizing on that design.

POST 6Original post

Seriously, that is the same key I have for my 2011 Cayenne. I know Cayenne and Panamera sales are good, but If you look at the Cayenne configurior all of the new 991 options are offered on the 2011 Cayenne.

POST 9Original post

Watch for more of this model integration over time as VW homogenizes the Porsche line up for all but a few specialty variants like the GT3.

POST 10Original post

How do you start the car when you use the optional keyless entry and keep the key in your pocket? I don't see any start/stop button on the dashboard or on the gear lever. Naturally it can be that the cars in the released pictures don't have this optional feature and hence the button is missing...?

POST 11Original post

Finally a modern key fob. The current keys look ancient and this is finally bringing them up to date and therefore lacking the need for two different key styles depending on whether the car has keyless or not.

POST 12Original post

I probably found the answer myself from the Panamera owner's manual: On vehicles with Porsche Entry & Drive, you no longer have to insert the key into the ignition lock, but merely keep it with you. The ignition key is replaced by a control unit in the ignition lock, which always remains in the ignition lock, unless the vehicle is being towed.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
