Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The guy I use managed to correct a car roof that had been jumped on - took him all day but he got it out (not my car I hasten to add!!)

Suggestion
They really only need to use the glue-on rods when they haven't got access to the back, or for longer/larger dents.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi All,
Annoyingly I've picked up a dent on my door, found whilst cleaning at the weekend. I suspect it was done while the cover was on (it lives outside), because there's no paint damage.
Do you think this can be fixed with paintless dent removal techniques, or does it look like a bigger job?
Cheers
Dave
I've had two similar sized dents removed on different cars, both ran across swage lines (folds in the panel) and neither could be seen afterwards. The guy I use managed to correct a car roof that had been jumped on - took him all day but he got it out (not my car I hasten to add!!)
That looks straight forward to me.
Where abouts are you - I'm sure you'd get a local recommendation from form members!?
Ian
Good Dent man will remove that.
if you're in Surrey/Sussex - Richard 0774 222 107 (uses hot glue, not rods, I have used many over the years and he is the best by far)
Thanks for that. Hopefully it will be straightforward. Guess they will need to get inside the door panel to push out the dent.
I'm in North Bristol. I've used the Dick Lovett body shop (Porsche Bristol OPC) previously and they seem to do a good job. I think they sub out PDR jobs though.
Cheers
Dave
When they cannot get to the back of the panel, they hot glue a plastic tab onto the panel and attach a sliding hammer to it.
Its like plastering, an art form!
Ian
Definitely a PDR job I had this ding taken out of my door when i first got this car, you wouldn't know it was there. Before and after shot. Depending upon your location I will give you the guys number.
Dave , yes a good PDR guy will sort that easily , PM contact member "Chaser" on here this was his business before retirement and he knows many of the good guys around the country , the guy in my area he put me onto did an outstanding job on my continental GT and it was worse than yours and when he had finished you would never have known it hadnt always been perfect. :thumb:
As said a good PDR guy will sort that easily.

You'll be amazed at how they gain access. My guy hardly ever has to remove any trim. He goes in down between the door glass scraper seals (with window wound down), through side repeater holes in wings, you name it. It really is a proper skill. 8)
The guy I use up here in Newcastle is DTD. Derek The Dent.
I get him out for every used car I buy. He can spot dents I haven't even seen.
I have used Dent-technique twice in the past. I bought a VR6 with a serious passenger door dent that I assumed would need a new skin. I couldn't believe that he 99% removed the dent and no paint needed.
I year or 2 later my wife reversed her Corsa into a stone window sill. That was also fixed as good as new.
Definitely recommended.
