Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Trying my best to stick with these cars as I have a history of changing frequently.
Leading evidence: 'Replace frequently' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace frequently' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi, purchased this in July and really enjoying the experience. Ive got an e46 m3 which is fab aswell. Really nice having the choice of both these future classics. My wife has an abarth 500 which is a great drive also!
Lovely looking car there.
I've owned a few e46 M3s and the Mrs also used to have an Abarth 500 both fun cars in their own right.
What are your plans for the 996?
Cheers guys, it's a nice example. I like gradually improving cars over time budget permitting. I would quite like to possibly add an aerokit front bumper as I think current front bumper looks shallow due to aero side skirts having been fitted, I'm not too fussed on aero rear spoiler. I'd also like to refurb the wheels and bring back the diamond cut lip as this has been painted over. I think the diamond lip makes the wheels look much better. The car is a manual with black leather hard back sports seats with MO30 suspension and came from factory with rear wiper delete and sunroof delete so pretty driver focused spec.
Also thinking about maybe painting hard back seats silver to match exterior. In terms of exterior changes maybe add the retro rear arch black vinyl protectors or add a bright colour decal theme.
Since owning the car I've renewed wheel cap centres, front bonnet badge, did the miller's nanotech oil change upgrade and I got gifted some genuine porsche spacers 17mm rear and 5mm front so fitted them to give it a flusher look.
Thanks for kind remarks. I think it's a good mix of cars that are appreciating in value (m3 and 996) or low cost (abarth). These factors help me justify ownership. Trying my best to stick with these cars as I have a history of changing frequently. Like most of us on here though I love scouring the sale ads so always at risk of seeing something else! First 20 years of motoring was exclusively Italian with integrales, cloverleaf 164, lancia montecarlo, coupe turbos, 147 GTAs, 156 GTAs amongst others. I sometimes miss the busso v6 but definently at my car max! I must say the 996 is very special and gets a lot of positive comments. Doesn't seem to suffer from the ugly 911 syndrome from Joe public atleast! Kids in the street often call it a ferrari and I was laughingly referred to as the guy with the porsche who's a millionaire by one kid lol!! I love the noise it makes 4k revs upwards and it does have a nice analogue feel whilst still being new enough to be practical. The m3 is SMG which I really like and enjoy for lease of ocal town driving and ferocity when pressing on. Its nice to have the contrast with the 996 being manual though, feels like best of both worlds!
