My car came with them however when I changed to a Top Gear exhaust I used their cheap fitting kit and never got around to upgrading it, 2.5 years later both exhaust tips fell off somewhere!

I want to change the standard exhaust tips on my 3.4 C2 for exactly the same style big ovals fitted to my 993 C2 which I love.

Like you I was about to pull the trigger on a very expensive set from Germany but I managed to snag them in mint condition for just £40 on Gumtree.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The EP4110 tips look very similar but the slash cut seems to be angled more to the side whereas I want them more facing parallel like the 993 with a downward slash cut, not facing different directions.

I want to make sure before taking the plunge as they are not cheap.
Anyone know where I can get tips like these for my 996?
Or will the EP4110 tips give the required look?

I found replacements on eBay Germany for £114 delivered.
I also have the big oval tips on my carrera (3.4), i believe these were a factory option, mine is a non PSE car but has the tips.
They sometimes come up on e-bay, probably still available from Porsche through their classic accessories ..... won't be cheap though!!
Look so much better than the little skinny ones, worth searching out....
I've got EP4110 tips on my 996 and, to my eyes at least, look pretty much exactly the same as the one's on your 993.

Worth setting up a saved search on eBay/Gumtree for Porsche exhaust tips. Sometimes people don't really know what they are selling....
