Waiting for myCayman I was just day dreamingabout my 1st drive....
I'llup pick my Arctic Silver with 19' SD's and step into the carbon trimmed interior with thesmellofleather. With my fiance, I'll headsouthon PCH from Newport Beach, through Laguna Beach, past my home in Dana Point, then north a little up the 5 Fwy to Ortega Hwy!!! A curvy mountian pass through Cleveland National Forest from OC to Lake Elsinore. It'll be green and beautifulin January
I'vealso promised rides toa couplebuddies and I can't wait to take my Dad for a spin up Angeles Crest Hwy!
How about you guys?
If I am lucky the roads won't be snow covered and I will get to drive it home. However, unless we are having a heat wave, the temperature will be well below the 45 degrees Porsche advises not to use summer performance tires and I will limp it home in light of the temperature and slippery nature of new tires. Even so, I bet my ride is just as much fun as yours
The South OC Cayman S owners club will have to schedule some Sunday morning Ortega Highway Hill Climbs. Staying on California Highway 74 take the Pines to Palms highway to Palm Desert.

Santiago Canyon Drive would be good short drive in OC while the Nate Harrison road to and Palomar Mountain State Park would be a fine 1/2 day drive in San Diego County.

CC,
I have been having recurrent day dreams daily! Yes I have the same plan but on a different landscape. My dealer is in the heart of Honolulu, and it will be congested on my drive out of the dealership. So my plan is to head up toward the Likelike Hwy toward Kailua, and take the Kahakili cutoff, once I pass Winward Community College there is a nice stretch of big Hwy from the college to the Valley of the Temples, this is where I will stretch her wings a bit!
Then after that I will double back and pick up Kam Hwy to Kalanaaniole Hwy and take the scenic route all the way around the southern tip of the Island. I will pass Sandy Beach and then take the curves around Kokohead Crater and then I have to wake up because my home is right at the bottom in Koko Marina. Ohhhhh I cannot wait!!!! In my day dream I am alone I guess I want to experience my Cayman in solitude first.
Aloha Russ
Find a corvette and race it, find any 911 and race it, see a cop and out run him, stop for a bar-B Q sandwich, go home and wash it..........then I wake up.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">Actually I’m dreading the first 60 miles of expressway driving from my dealer until I get off to go home. It is boring, filled with out of touch and dangerous drivers and not much fun in any vehicle. However I plan on taking it up to the ski basin soon after (yes we get snow in <city w:st="on">
<place w:st="on">Santa Fe</place>
</city>), it is a very curvy, scenic road that goes from 7000’ to 10,500’ in altitude over about 20 miles. I might take it more than once.
