Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I am looking all over for images or information about the chassies (VIN) number without luck. Was hoping to find one on some of the images. Also I missed to check this out. While looking on the cars displayed here in Stockholm, Sweden. Anyone?

POST 2Original post

I havent seen vin # pics other than the window sticker pics, hope that helps...

POST 4Original post

The VIN is visible in the bottom drivers side (LHD) corner of the windscreen. Presumably this is standard across all models - anyone got a suitable photo to hand?

POST 5Original post

The PCNA car at our dealer was built in Valmet. It has the 'U' in the Vin. JHellow

POST 8Original post

Yes, I know since I had a Boxster 2,7 2001. I have decoded it now. Interestingly it says 987!

POST 9Original post

Yes the Cayman is a 987 C7S code name, and 987-120 I *think* for the actual model name, check the order guide it says... no big surprise there...

POST 10Original post

Haha. By the way I was perplexed to find that the ”Manufacture year” seems funny? The actual car I checked has 2006 as ”Manufacture year”. Do they mean ”Model year”? It does not make any sense, as the darn thing ofcourse is built sometime september october 2005?? Check out that documentation on the sticker at the PCNA-car from Hawaii and see for yourself.
