Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I replaced the fronts with 10cm Alpines as is the norm then the door speakers with 130mm Alpines.
Leading evidence: 'Replace fronts' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust than if you're trying' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Use some focal 100ca1's, they are deeper thank the alpine

I used some Focal 100CA1's, they are deeper thank the Alpine but fitted fine.

Suggestion
With just the 'Front" (10cm) and 'Rear" (13cm doors) the sound stage is much easier to adjust than if you're trying to run the rears.

Suggestion
If you have the door speakers my advice would be to disconnect the rears and upgrade the door and dash, this makes using an OTP amp much (much!) more straightforward, also.

No, unless you replace with the same cr4p Porsche ones.

I have had these tested using the Apline SPG-10s which are 43mm deep + the stupidly large 4mm mounting tab, and they go right in as there is simply nothing behind it.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Big difference made by using dynomat or similar in the inner panels behind the rear speakers. Made them a) louder b) more bass c) more punchy.
Wouldn't have believed it if not experienced it. £12 from eBay for 10x 200x 250mm sheets.
I've built an adapter that allows you to fit any 4" speaker you like back there.
Can keep you updated when I'm ready to go into production? Just got a few "kick starter" orders I need to complete first.

hi Alex, on the fronts you are limited as space is crazy tight. On the rears the hole goes all the way back to the inner body skin as far as i can tell. I have had these tested using the Apline SPG-10s which are 43mm deep + the stupidly large 4mm mounting tab, and they go right in as there is simply nothing behind it.
I'm with Dammit on this. I replaced the fronts with 10cm Alpines as is the norm then the door speakers with 130mm Alpines. These are all run via an Alpine 4 channel amp in the frunk (Or is it 'Froot" here in the U.K.?). The rear 10cms I've just disconnected.
With just the 'Front" (10cm) and 'Rear" (13cm doors) the sound stage is much easier to adjust than if you're trying to run the rears. Given my head unit only has 4 channel output you've got to ask yourself which channel do you use to drive the rear 10cm speakers? Front? Rear? Either way you're going to mix up the crossover settings and or sound stage.
Oh and I've also got an Alpine active 'Under seat" subwoofer in the passenger footwell to add a bit of 'Depth" to it all. Often surprises the passenger when the bass kicks in...
Is it the finest audiophile system ever heard? Nope. But it's pretty good, especially for the money and comfortably loud (And controlled) enough to be easily and clearly heard over my very loud exhaust. The sub is also a useful addition without turning the car into what Australians would call a 'Doof bus"
I used some Focal 100CA1's, they are deeper thank the Alpine but fitted fine. They made such a massive difference to the sound, it actually enhanced the bass more than I would expect from such a small speaker. I just wish there was space to fit them in the front... (I 3D printed my own brackets from thingiverse, they needed a bit of modification but worked fine)
Hmm, that is indeed a good point, i didnt realise they had drains back the cab version. I think need someone with a cab to try this one out or get measurements, im not in a position to do that myself.
yeah, nice of porsche to make this somehow even more complicated... i need to find someone with a cab and willing to test fit these for me, it looks like there is sod all room there mind.
