Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Looks easy enough, and due to a front noise light suspension banging I think best to start drop links as I have used WD 40 with no success on all the bushes etc.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Just a quick one. Are there any special requirements when fitting front drop links to a c4 1999. Looks easy enough, and due to a front noise light suspension banging I think best to start drop links as I have used WD 40 with no success on all the bushes etc. Hopefully the geo will not need to be done after etc Also I assume best to do both sides?

POST 2Original post

Hi They're straight forward to fit if they're not seized and the alignment won't need re-setting. The joints at the front of the forked control arms are often responsible for knocking so worth checking. Grant
