Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hi everyone, It looks like my 2009 Cayman 2.9L is on the verge of needing a new water pump. There is a small leak, and I just looked at the pulley and noticed a significant amount of play (and noise). While I'm getting that replaced, I'll likely do the thermostat as well. I've done a good bit of research on here and want to go with a metal impeller. I've read good things about Geba, but haven't seen anything about Graf. Does anyone have experience with these? This kit on FCP Euro is the one I'm looking at: Porsche Engine Water Pump and Thermostat Kit - Graf PA1216KT1 Thanks in advance! - Michael

POST 2Original post

I had to go lookup my order to figure out what I used. I used the Geba. So far - it's worked fine, no leaks, no noises. Probably about 3 years and 12,000 miles on it (I should drive it more..) If you haven't seen anything about the Graf - what attracts you to it? As you did, I saw decent reviews on the Geba so I chose that.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
