Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I seem to have lost one of the bolts for the front engine cover (the one behind the seats). Anyone happen to know what size they are and if I can pick one up locally at a hardware store? Or perhaps where to find a parts diagram for this car... It's a 2009 Boxster and all I know is that they're 10mm hex.

POST 2Original post

I would bring one of the bolts you still have to match up at the hardware store. It's probably an M6-1.0 x 16mm long. That's the size of the 5 bolts that hold down the engine cover on a Cayman .

POST 3Original post

yeah I could probably find something that will fit for now but I'd like to get the proper matching bolt and I don't think I can find the exact same one. But no amount of googling has landed me on an actual replacement bolt or even a parts diagram to find out the part number.

POST 4Original post

See page 172. https://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf/originalparts/en/E_9872_KATALOG.pdf

POST 5Original post

Update: called the dealer 2 hours away and they got me the part number but didn't have any in stock. Part number for anyone else who ever searches for this is 90037816901 and pelican sells them for $1 each with $2.75 shipping.

POST 6Original post

90037816901 fits Boxster (2013 - 2016) HEX - HEAD SCREW 6X12. Trunk Trim Panel Bolt , but any hex head M6x12 bolt is probably the same thing.

POST 7Original post
