Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi I am new to this forum and have just collected my GT3 kitted 996. Unfortunately I have just had a problem starting it and seems like the immobiliser is cutting in and the engine wont fire up! Is there ary way to get around this easily? I did disconnect the battery for a while and it did start up but about 4 mins later the car died and the same problem occurred???? any suggestions?? Many Thanks Matt

It doesn't sound like the immobiliser, because that would prevent it from cranking, and from what you have said it sounds like it cranks. Sounds more like a fuel pump issue to me. If you've just bought it - take it back to the dealer.
