if you can check other fuses first and they are ok then take the cd unit out and remove the black box from the rear of the unit via a small posi screw i think and there is a glass fuse in there..

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi ll, been reading the forum with interest for some time since buying my 996 Carerra 4 Cab. I'm absolutely delighted with it! Best purchase every made! I've added a picture as most people seem to request them. Might seem a stupid question, but any help would be appreciated. I tried to load my CD autovhager for the first time this weekend - not been too interested in music since I bought the car - rather listen to the engine howl - and it is telling me I have no CD player. there seems to be no power to the autochanger, well at least the cartridge eject buttn doesn't work and isn't lit up. Is it easy to get to the wiring and check it both behind the PCM module and at the autochanger? Any suggestions what the problem might be?

POST 3Original post

the cd unit has a small glass fuse on it which is common for blowing, if you can check other fuses first and they are ok then take the cd unit out and remove the black box from the rear of the unit via a small posi screw i think and there is a glass fuse in there..
