You can re-use the nuts, but for the minimal extra cost involved I would fit new ones.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Are the drop links on the front and rear of a C2 the same as a C4?

POST 2Original post

Hi, No, The rears are the same I think but the fronts are different. jetbox

POST 4Original post

Couple of questions. I have the anti-roll bar links to replace on the back of my 99 C2. Are there any special tools required to change them? The parts came without nuts, I assume you can reuse the existing ones?? All the best

POST 5Original post

No special tools required. You can re-use the nuts, but for the minimal extra cost involved I would fit new ones. Just my preference really.

POST 6Original post

Thank you, forgot to ask: what is the torque setting for the nuts?

POST 7Original post

For the rear ARB links it is 46Nm top and bottom.

POST 8Original post

Just remember to soak them over night - it's easy to round the hex fitting off when using a spanner the other way at the same time if they have been on for many years. I'm not sure if you have changed them before, but I always put the car on axel stands and jack the hub from the base on a block of wood to the desired height/ supporting it to make sure the bolts are free from pressure and easier to remove, you can also get them in position to refit with minimal fuss on a standard trolley jack (as my bottle jack broke).
