I have adjusted the bass levels on the head unit to full negative but this only partially helps.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Havent long had the car but the std stereo (which I believe is Bose pack and CD22) seems way too bassy. I have adjusted the bass levels on the head unit to full negative but this only partially helps. Turning 'loud' on and off makes a difference but it feels like I am missing something fundamental. It sounds 'better' for that 1/2 second before the amp/sub? switches in on start up? Is there any local adjustments on the amp or the sub which I can play with? If not, Becker Grand Prix here we come!

POST 2Original post

Hi! I have exactly the opposite problem! My Bose system doesn't seem to produce enough bass (unless I turn the bass right up!). I 've owned the car for 4 years and have often wondered whether there might be some wire that isn't connected on the amp or similar. I'll be interested to read any comments about tips but I'd have expected a better sound out of such expensive kit!
