If you already know all of the answers....(even though you are wrong about using standard body paint on calibers which might work temporarily but never hold up long term) then why continue to ask so many questions.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've got a couple of chips to touch up on my calipers. Are they Guards Red or some other shade?

POST 2Original post

i wouldn't think its the same type of paint they used on the body of the car is it?

POST 3Original post

no you cant use body paint on your calipers. You can get some high temp caliper paint (Folia Tec, G2, Dupli-Color) at your local checkers. It wont match perfectly, but for touch ups its good.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You absolutely can use body paint on calipers.

POST 5Original post

you can use that paint, but it probably wont hold. you need some high temp paint to withstand the heat.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You really don't. But I actually just need to know what the color is.

POST 7Original post

If you already know all of the answers....(even though you are wrong about using standard body paint on calibers which might work temporarily but never hold up long term) then why continue to ask so many questions.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Where's the answer to my question? BTW, 7 years of painted calipers with no peeling or discoloration is enough proof for me.

POST 9Original post

Assume if you have been painting your calibers for 7 years you would know the color by now.... suggest you do a paint sample and compare....might be easier than coming across so arrogant & haughty... Have fun!

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Did I say they were the calipers on my Porsche? Thanks for the useful contribution.
