Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The garage, where I bought the car from, said they had fixed it under their warranty a few weeks ago, but the problem has reappeared again.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi there. The OBC flashed up "Faulty Indicator" with the oil can symbol. The needle in the gauge (on the right of the dashboard pod) does not move when you put the gear shift into neutral. When you engage drive, the gauge will work again, but it is erratic, bouncing up and down. Even at an even cruising speed, it will swing up and down the scale like it was demented! When you stop, put it in neutral, the gauge dies again. The garage, where I bought the car from, said they had fixed it under their warranty a few weeks ago, but the problem has reappeared again. Any ideas please? CHEUNGY

POST 2Original post

Did they replace the oil pressure sender? It is quite common for them to fail in this way. Not expensive to fix either.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi there and thanks for the swift reply. yes they said they replaced it. Will more than likely go and hassle them to fix it again....!
