A PIWIS or Durametric needs to be connected to the computer to set the country the vehicle is in accurately and that should change the radio settings also.

Suggestion

I could be wrong about this - but I think the radio itself has the ability to change the settings without getting a new radio unit.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

My 2009 Cayman came from Japan to Nw Zealand. As the frequencies of Japanese broadcasts differ to ours the radio needs replacing. I am told US radios work in odd numbers frequency steps ie 88.1, 88.3, 88.5...etc. I can buy a CDR30 from the US but need to know whether it will work like this, which is no good in NZ, or whether it is a universal radio which will pick up the evens as well, ie 88.2, 88.4 etc? Thanks
