Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 2Original post

its a lot of money i would wait for one with less owners

POST 3Original post

I recently sold a 2001 M3 and I was the 7th owner. A lot of people just put the phone down when they found out

POST 4Original post

These cars change owners more often than your typical shopping trolley, 5 owners for a 7 year old car is not excessive. PPI is a real must, and Full Service History, everyone will tell you that and buy on condition, that is far more important in my opinion than the number of owners, 5 "careful" owners better than 2 uncarefull ones! Whilst there are less cars for sale now than a few months ago its worth shopping around. Its an over used expression but buy the best car you can afford, Warranty is circa 1400 now i believe, Good luck with your search....

POST 5Original post

Would not worry me at all Follow petrolheads advice bargain down due to the amount of owners if you can. Contry to popular belief TT's of this spec and year are hard to find and holding their values well. And P. P. I. Is. A. Must.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/list]

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

went to look at the 996tt..not for me im afraid..cannot justify spending circa £34-£35k on a 02-03 plate car without warranty..seemed dated to me..it was too fast really..unuseable speed and the interior looked bland Going to buy a BMW M5 instead, that money will get me a 56 plate with fresh looks.. oh well

POST 7Original post

A colleague test drove an M5 thinking about changing from his TT, said he found it a little gutless at low revs with all the power stacked up the top. He couldn't find anything to compare to the TT at that price and decided to keep.

POST 8Original post

Yeah, but it isn't a Porsche - there is no substitute........
