Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all ,hope u all had a great x-mas. It snowed here in good old Blighty yesterday so i fitted the hardtop on. I got the car without the hardtop and bought this one 2nd hand. Checked all seals etc before fitting and were fine. Opened car this morning and both sides ,towards the front were dripping like a siev. Are there any adjustments or what is wrong. Cheers.

POST 3Original post

My 02 996 was a cab. the easiest way to put the roof on, and it took all of 4 minutes, was to rest the top here the lock close to the windshield with the lock on it unlocked. nw go to the back and with the tool that comes with it, hook it clockwise and lock it in. Do the same to the other side. Then comes the fromt. Windows are down.grab the middled locking mecinizum. Lock it in and that is is. All of 12 mins. Good luck. If your local. my name is Robert and I can meet you and do it will you. I'm retired now from being a bronx homicide detective. Now I am board, I was a mechanic beck before becoming an officer. My cell is [phone removed]. Robert

POST 5Original post

The hardtops are adjustable. There's a thread somewhere, maybe Rennlist. I had to adjust the rear pins on mine, and I had purchased it separately from the car as well. Not sure if the front is adjustable, but it would certainly be affected after doing the rear. Spend some time here and on Rennlist with the Search function. I'm positive it will turn up. Good luck Nick
