Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

It was the same on my boxster, i always thought it was a replacement.
Outcome qualification: Negation, uncertainty or missing explicit repair resolution overrides the raw extraction signal.

 I'd always thought my passenger side mirror had been damaged and replaced with a standard mirror glass, I even replaced the drivers side so that they matched :nooo: perhaps I'll put the anti dazzle drivers side glass back in then!
Leading evidence: 'same' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'same' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace drivers side so' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Hi,
On my 2003 i have slight differences in the mirror glasses? It was the same on my boxster, i always thought it was a replacement. I assume the drivers can tint hence the difference?
Can anyone confirm?
Cheers Nick
I'm no expert here but you have plain mirrors and ones that darken .. if the interior mirror has a button and a light on it you have the auto dimming system .
I though both mirrors including the interior mirror will darken .. as these glasses are horrendous in cost it's not unusual for people to fit a plain mirror in the event one breaks .
You can see an outline on the mirror glass if its this type as well .. plain mirrors are just that .
Can you post a picture as it sounds like one is auto darkening and the other is not ..
I assumed both should be the same type but as i said .. i'm no expert on specs im afraid .
My car is exactly the same. Drivers side has a frame around it, passenger side doesn't. My car has auto dimming but I've never noticed if either of the wing mirrors dims.
It never occurred to me that the wing mirrors would dim so I just assumed one mirror glass had been replaced at some point. I prefer the glass without the surround.
I wondered about this as well, drivers side looks tinted but passenger side isn't Hard to tell as my option codes are filthy but I think mine might have tinted wing mirrors so I'm betting passenger side has been replaced at some point. I don't have a frame on either so not auto dimming.
I've done some research on this .. i searched high and low for this answer .. i even took the day off work so i could figure this question out ..
Ok i lied .. i looked at a wiring diagram .. anti dazzle mirrors are fitted to the drivers side only RHD and opposite for a LHD car .
 I'd always thought my passenger side mirror had been damaged and replaced with a standard mirror glass, I even replaced the drivers side so that they matched :nooo: perhaps I'll put the anti dazzle drivers side glass back in then! :floor:
