There are two bolts which hold the lid lock onto the bodywork, which are in slots, so that you can adjust the height of the lock.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Take off the plastic panel which has 1/4 turn fixings. There are two bolts which hold the lid lock onto the bodywork, which are in slots, so that you can adjust the height of the lock. Make the adjustments a small amount at a time, and make sure that the lever (or electric) releases aren't struggling. Best bet is to put a piece of masking tape on the body across the top edge of the lock plate, so you have a reference point, and know how far you have moved it,

POST 2Original post

Just got my car returned from having the front bumper sprayed. The body shop decided to adjust the bonnet latch when doing the work, and it does now shut much more easily. However, the result is the bonnet now rattles if you put any pressure on the front of it when closed. I can't see how to make the adjustment to put things back how they were. Advice welcome as always.

Cheers Richard.....I will have a go later today. Stuart
