Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I was about to pull the trigger on an IceLink Gateway 500 and wanted to look for some more info, however Dension Audio Systems doesn't seem to be responding at all and DensionUSA has the following... Anyone know anything further? Should I just go ahead and get one or is this a long term problem distribution and/or warranty issue? I wanted to get iPod and XM integration into my CDR24/Bose system. Chris

POST 2Original post

Seems like Bumper Plugs has been the exclusive distributor for a while. Eric seems like a good guy, very customer service-oriented. I recently ordered my Dension from him (for a CDR24/Bose system), and am very happy w/ it.

POST 3Original post

Dension Gone I've been told by a local installer that Dension is "gone." He said that they had a tremendous number of problems with their products. Apparently they are now known as Dice Electronics. I am going to have a NAV-TV unit installed for my CDR24 to add an IPOD connection (my understanding is that it will also provide an additional aux input). If you have a PCM, I'm told they have a unit that will provide much more capability -- playlist display, etc.

POST 4Original post

This isn't true. Dension in Europe was not happy with their original distributor in the U.S. (D.I.C.E.) so that relationship was terminated. Dension now uses Automobility (a sponsor here btw) in Canada to distribute to North America. One of the main resellers in the U.S. is Eric at BumperPlugs. Many of us here have the Dension iPod units and they seem to be working fine. Automobility has a web page where you can look up a reseller in your area.

POST 5Original post

Thanks K-Man and Chris S. I have confirmed this as well. The Dension Audio Systems site it is now back up and shows Automobility as the distributor. Chris
