Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just wondering what I should put it up for? It's a 996 X50 manual, coupe in Seal Grey, body work and wheels are in excellent condition, so swirl marks or scratches or curbing. I bought it 5 years ago from RPM, it has full Porsche dealer and specialist service history. I have had the following work done during my ownership. New rads and condensers 9 excellence switchable sports exhaust New Sachs performance clutch Forge Diverter valves Guards Red front and rear seat belts Bespoke front grill mesh - by 9e Ceramically Coated Body and Wheels Michelin Sport Cup front tyres Over £6,000 spent in 5 years and less than 1000 covered. The is kept in a garage and never driven in the rain. If anything it has driven more to garages for services than anywhere else. 😂7 The mileage is 75787. Its last 6 services over 5000 miles with Porsche specialists. Jan 2015 - 70857 April 2016 - 74172 April 2017 - 74172 June 2018 - 74725 June 2019 - 74874 - Major Sept 2020 - 75355 I may have left some other stuff out. Any ideas what it should be priced for?

POST 2Original post

Prices seem all over the place - I'd happily pay £35K.

POST 3Original post

Day to day a regular Turbo is more useable with perceivably less lag so based on mileage I think 35-38k.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Autobahner Thank you for your 'offer'. I wish you the best in your search.

POST 5Original post

...you asked for a valuation, got one which you didn't like and threw your toys out of the pram which leads me to think you have a value in mine so why are you asking the forum :dont know:

POST 6Original post

45k all day with a La Ferrari private reg on it :wack: :coat:

POST 7Original post

£45k seems eminently sensible and achievable to me. Going into winter during the worst pandemic since Spanish flu may mean you have to hold your nerve a little though.... MF.

POST 8Original post

The x50 is a desirable option. It is relatively rare and was expensive. When I bought my turbo I specifically looked for an x50 with Aerokit. I have never heard anybody say that they would take a standard turbo over an x50. So I would think it would be priced a couple of £k more than an equivalent standard turbo. MC

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Alex & FZP, Yep, I sold that reg for £12k I think. Mr Corn is right the LA09FER is on a La Ferrari. How you boys laughed when I advertised it and said you boys said it was worth £500. So funny Mr. Corn & Mark Foster your advise is appreciated. It was a rare option. Please note: I said 'I'm considering selling it' I didn't ask for offers.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

By the way, if anyone out there is looking to buy a 996 - do it. You will never buy a better car. Just make sure they are not a convertible or triptonic or a standard 996 2 wheel drive. They are the cheapest and a great entry level car, if you cant afford the dosh for a 4s coupe or turbo. Alex has one

POST 11Original post

If you're not in a hurry to sell, with that mileage in a private sale I'd start at £39,995. It seems a shame that you've used it so little in 5 years.

POST 12Original post

Friend of mine owns this business: https://www.car-iconics.com/ Often has customers looking for decent 996t's, might be worth an enquiry.

POST 13Original post

https://www.historics.co.uk/buying/...ars/ref-139-2005-porsche-911-996-turbo-s-mrp/ Saw this go through today, beautiful condition and 20k miles, didn't look at its service history

POST 14Original post

How have you managed only 1000 miles?? I've had my 996t less than 2 months and put more miles on than that! (maybe I should be a bit more sparing but love driving it too much).. Seeing as the guy over at friends green porsche had a similar mileage non x50 up for 35k and it sold in a few weeks I'd say take a bit off since it's a private sale but it must be up in the high 30s I've seen a few 50k milers in good condition at the 45k+ mark.
