Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I assume the Bowden cable has fallen off or snapped.. I can open the door from the inside but the exterior handle has nothing.. Is anyone aware if there is a door card removal guide / standard fix? I tried a couple of searches but it wouldn't let me keep changing my search terms so often!

POST 2Original post

Have a look through this and pick out the bits you need. The metal pin attached to the handle can corrode. I suspect it has become detached from the latch. MC

POST 4Original post

my money is on the metal pin....ask me how i know!

POST 5Original post

In my case it was a plastic connector from the metal rod to the lock assembly.
