Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi I'm looking to fit my 996 GT3.2 front calipers to my 996 turbo. It does have 5mm spacers and I have questions. a. Is there a guide to do this or as anyone here done this. b. Just need to know what size discs and pads I need and any tips etc. I'm not tracking the car. The car does have 5mm spacers. c. Also have a set of rear calipers from a 996 GT3.2. Are they exactly the same as 996 turbo calipers? Thanks

POST 2Original post

As far as I remember from when I did mine. They fit straight so you don't need spacers. You do need longer bolts. The discs from a 997 turbo fit. You can run larger 997 discs on the rear if you fit spacers on the callipers.

POST 3Original post

GT3 996.2 fronts are 350mm x 34 as standard and 330mm rears I believe. Pip

POST 4Original post

Those dimensions look about right. As mentioned, the 997 uses larger rear disks which you can fit using the standard calipers and spacers. Or you can use the PCCB rear calipers for the 996.2 GT3 which also uses 350mm disks and fit without spacers. MC
