Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Higher price than normal ($95 for all 4 - sorry no GBP sign on keyboard) but total success and really changed the driving experience.

For anyone experiencing similar, I would definitely recommend as interim to tyre replacement (my car has been sitting for extended periods not being used prior to my purchase which may have adversely affected them).

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Also tried with and without spacers - no difference.
For info, if anyone having similar issues...
Located a UK operator of Road Force balancing, The Tyre Shop in Chingford. Great service and a positive outcome.
Since purchase, my 996 has had an annoying wheel vibration starting at 50mph and getting worse as speed increases.
Been through everything on suspension without finding any problem and had front wheels balanced 3 times and rears once without improvement. Also tried with and without spacers - no difference.

Thanks for this, I am still in the same situation, ie unable to get acceptable balance on conventional balancing machines.
Does anyone know of a shop who do this anywhere near me ie Leighton Buzzard, Beds/Bucks?
I have now had the fronts done on the 'road force" equipment and it transpires that one of the tyres is out of round. Wheel is OK so moving it on the rim would not help.
These are 3 year old Pirelli's with not many miles on them so I am not happy!
Odd thing is that same tyres/ wheels were acceptably in balance before wheels were refurbed recently? Tyre shop say both wheels are perfect so it can only be position on rim? But if rims are OK that should have no effect?
Next move is to try my friends fronts which he says are perfectly balanced on his car just to eliminate any other suspension influences, even though nothing has been touched.
