Hi all, Inspired by alshulski's thread on his (gorgeous) updated 718 -style Boxster tail lights, I did a quick search and found multiple units in the same 718 style, but advertised as specifically for the 987.2 generation. For those in the know, is there any reason why they couldn't fit (or be modified to fit) on a 987.1 car? Is the issue a straight difference in shape, or are there other technical incompatibilities? If you've bought a pair, I'd love to hear about your experience with them. I'll include a link to a reference pair below. 718 Style Tail Lights (eBay) Thanks!

There's a distinctly more pronounced "swoosh" (for lack of better term) in the 987.2 that isn't there in the 1st gen tail lights. I am also disappointed by this, as a 987.1 owner

I beleive from what I can tell the difference is where the light meets the bumper. Upgrading to a 987.2 bumper should allow the use of the 987.2 lights
