Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

Unless you are looking to lower the car or update to adjustable shocks (neither of which I'd recommend), then I'd spend your money somewhere else.

I guess it depends on how you use your car - for street use I'd say that the above numbers are correct.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How many kilometers should be necessary to replace suspension system and thinking springs has arrived at the end of life? 74000km. boxster 2.5 MY99 what do you think? Regards.

POST 2Original post

Not even close. I would look at the SHOCKS at 100K MILES but the springs are good for close to 200K would be my guess. Now, brakes and tires are another matter .......

POST 4Original post

I guess it depends on how you use your car - for street use I'd say that the above numbers are correct. For my race car I'd actually burn through about a set of springs per season, but that's under extreme use. Unless you are looking to lower the car or update to adjustable shocks (neither of which I'd recommend), then I'd spend your money somewhere else.

POST 5Original post

Bottom out on enough potholes and you can kill shocks in minutes. -
