Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 996 Cabriolet (2004) has the non sport seats with seat heaters, and a split is developing across the stitching in the center section. I know that I can remove that section and swap it to the passenger side without too much trouble, but there is a wire in the seatback that (I think) goes to a connector in the underside of the seat. Not sure if its for the heating element , but in any case, I need to disconnect it. So, good people, do any of you know (or have a picture) where that connector is under the seat? I'd like to accomplish this without removing the seats from the car. Thanks!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the pictures. Your picture is leading me to believe that the connector is high enough inside the seat frame that I'll probably have to unbolt the seats and tilt them this way and that to get the connector out. You have 2 black wires that seem to be coming from the bottom of the seat back, and one of them might be the one I'm trying to diconnect and swap to the other side.
