Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi Guys, Would need some advice on how to remove this trim piece (08 Cayman 987)with the handle. Parts catalogue seems to show there's a a screw through the handle but I cant sem to find it anywhere. I'm trying to remove it for sanding and respray. damn the stupid soft plastic coating. I think any Cayman approaching 10yr old in humid climates will be seeing the flakey peely results.

Also, you don't need to sand the plastics to get the coating off. Lacquer Thinner takes it off no issue. It will leave a bit of of a haze on the plastic but since you're painting it doesn't matter.
