To be honest I could just take off my shifter and see what I am working with but lets chalk this one up to laziness. To compliment my soon to be installed carbon fiber wheel I want to install a carbon fiber shift knob but I do not want to spend some $700 on an authentic or Porsche look alike, I would actually like to go for a more standard shift knob shape. Is there anything out there that will adapt the Porsche shifter to thread to the multitude of universal shift knobs out there? Thanks.

I have, unfortunately they don't have a carbon fiber one. I know I could just do black, but as I have a sea of sand beige interior I want something else carbon to go with the soon to be carbon wheel. Also been considering just replacing that dash trim but that's as much or more than the shifter, considering its all for aesthetics I don't really want to blow money on it.

I would advise against a CF shift knob. To get better feel the knob should be heavier than the stock one, not lighter. You are probably thinking "how could that possibly make a difference?" I thought the same thing until I installed one from raceeng. It just feels better.

The goal is strictly aesthetics, I have had weighted shift knobs in other cars and I agree it definitely makes a difference, but in this car I really don't mind the stock shifter weight and carbon won't be much different, plus most of these carbon knobs aren't full carbon, just wrapped and clear coated.
