Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am fitting one of the Amazon Mr 12v blue tooth modules in place where my CD changer was. Does anyone know what the 3 x wires are going to the CD changer? I cannot get my test leads into the plug to determine and ideally want to leave the plug there and not cut it off. the colours are:- Red with green stripe Brown White with red stripe Also the instructions say that a non switched permeant feed is required - surely this would cause a drain on battery? Could anyone who has fitted confirm if its a permeant feed required or switched feed? Many thanks

POST 2Original post

Can't help with battery into but wiring in a permanent live is not unusual. It will draw some current but very little indeed - probably a couple of milliamps. It will be to keep the internal bluetooth chip powered up so it can remember phone id's mainly. Will probably be much less power draw than an alarm, for example.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you both - really appreciate the help. Just out of curiosity, what is Wake up diagnostic?
