This past August they replaced a Milltek MCS Header with toasted cat that had 30 + track days on it with no questions asked.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Here is your chance to save $500 on the most powerful catback
exhaust
for the Cayman on the market (as reported by Ken, the owner of Cayman Club).
The Milltek Sport system offers some key features that set it apart from others. Notice the custom true-dual tips. No power-robbing merge. Also check out how high the system sits under the body. No ugly muffler cans hanging low.
Even better than all of that is the sound. Developed on 3
Cayman S
cars in 3 continents this system has the worst of the drone beat. But at the same time raises the excitement. Will not offend your passengers either.
Sale price is limited to stock on hand and may end at any time. Call Toll Free [phone removed] or just order online. -Pete, Stratmosphere

I have hardly any stock on
headers
right now. Just a couple of sets in stock until March. Give a call and I'm happy to make a deal with you on a set. -Pete
I might be interested in the
headers
too depending on the price. Its unfortunate that this pricing isn't permanent. I think it would generate a *lot* more sales.
Thanks Pete, i have already placed my order for the
headers
with your partner Bob on Dec 29th.
Please make sure caymanclub gets credit for the transaction since this site influenced the decision.
Thanks mt647. I wish we could permanently lower prices! With Stainless steel prices now double over the last 12 months and the dollar at its all time weakest against the Pound I'm into a corner. But for now, there is no better deal on the catback. -Pete. [phone removed]
Too good a deal to pass up! Mine was on the front porch at lunch today after placing the order only yesterday. If the rain holds off here in the North East, I'll bolt it on tomorrow AM.....
FWIW Stratmosphere has given me great service since I first began using them in '01 for 944 Turbo stuff. This past August they replaced a Milltek MCS Header with toasted cat that had 30 + track days on it with no questions asked. Not affliated, just a very happy customer.
Cheers,
Morefun- Glad we could be of service. Hoping you really enjoy the
exhaust
. Call us Toll Free at [phone removed] if you have any questions, etc. -Pete, Stratmosphere
It's this type of service that gets my vote with my wallet. I will be ordering the Milltek
headers
from Pete very shortly...as soon as I can make a decision on the catback to go with it
Still leaning towards AWE due to their quality product, proven gains, and personal service on the forum...however the TUBI keeps calling to me for some reason.
silent will,
i can say that if you have a heart condition or thinning hair, stay away from Tubi. it will absolutely make your heart skip and head bald.
it is not loud...just mean!!!!
How much horsepower and torque does this system make without the aftermarket
headers
? Also, any tricks to installing this system or is it a pretty basic instal that I can do in my garage with some  ?
I swapped out the stock
exhaust
and bolted on the Milltek cat back today. I don't have a garage but I do have a small driveway (old colonial neighborhood in Newport) so I have to pick my weather windows. I started at 11 am and was finished by 2 pm including an oil/filter change. I hung the Milltek with all of the joints loose so I could wrestle it into alignment. Turned out to be no big deal as everything lined up easily. On start up it has a deeper tone but hardly louder than stock. I drove a 12 mile loop over the bridges and back and was pleasantly surprised. At a constant 75 mph in 5th and 6th there is no discernable increase in cabin noise. It definately "growls" when you get on it but, it won't wake the neighbors like the old B&B did on my '86
Carrera
. It's subjective but the motors feels likes its breathing better. The slight flat spot around 3,000 to 3,500 rpms is gone. On a scale of 1-10 with the oil/filter being a 1, I'd say the install was a 3. Make sure have an articulating socket drive and a set of wobbler extensions.
Cheers,
My Milltek catback installation experience today was pretty much a carbon copy of Morefun's. I did not install the
exhaust
myself but I was able to stand and watch the entire installation process from a few feet away. It was done by a shop that has never touched a Porsche before -- but it went like clockwork. My cost was $150, which I think is reasonable.
Everything fit perfectly, no buzzes or rattles. I also noticed the deeper tone on startup but this is not so much more volume just a different tone frequency. In fact, my CS seems to idle more smoothly than before. I haven't driven it enough for the
ecu
to learn and adjust but there is a difference in throttle response -- it's definitely quicker and more responsive. When cruising along at steady rpm's there is very little increase in cabin noise. It sounds wonderful from 5000-7000 rpm's. As most everyone has said, the main difference is under load from 2000 to 3000 rpms. That is noticeably louder but not a problem with the Milltek. I don't think I would like anything much louder, however. The
exhaust
looks so much better than the stocker, I'm very happy with the entire system and the tips line up perfectly.
Don't be afraid of this mod...
Sounds like everything went well. I think you can tell that the sound is going to a level that is exciting, but holding back from becoming annoying. On this car, that is the key factor. An unleashed
exhaust
has an annoying drone on these cars, so I would advise people to pay attention to that point very strongly. All Porsche's can be like this, but the Cayman was the biggest challenge of them all. -Pete, Stratmosphere
