All the talk about no jack / no spare has me nervous. Has anyone priced and / or installed run-flats? If so, what tire size do you have, what brand did you chose, and how much did you pay for the set? Eric, The Cayman suspension was not designed for run-flats. Putting run-flats on this car might give you a more secure feeling but you would probably lose a lot of what you like about the car. Having recently driven a BMW with run-flats, which has a suspension designed for run-flats, I would not want run-flat on any car of mine. The beautiful BMW suspension felt dulled. Note that BMW does not put run-flats on the Z4 M Coupe. There has been extensive discussion of the topic of no spare in the Cayman over the past year. You might be interested in what other Cayman owners have proposed and done to assuage the feeling of driving a car with a flat tire waiting to happen. I can provide some links to threads on this topic or you can try some searches for spare, flat, etc.

Advantage You can still drive with a small puncture Disadvantage Higher unsprung weight-Affect handling, steering feel etc.. Higher fuel consumption-Tyres are heavier More expensive An even harsher ride due to stiff side wall I call for Recovery if the sealant and pump cannot get me home
