Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I am thinking of getting the Techart Front and Rear Spoilers and the mirror inserts. I am attaching some pictures. I am not sure how the rear spoiler is physically installed. It looks like it is either glued or screwed in place which is something that I definitely wouldn't do to my beloved CS. Does any one know how the rear spoiler is nstalled? The Techart Sales Rep didn't know and promissed that someone would call me from their workshop but no one did so far. Also, it seems that the Techart spoiler is installed in addition to the riginal one so you end up with 2 rear spoilers Can anyone help me understand? Thanks..

POST 2Original post

The spoiler in that picture (techart has more than one) is permanently mounted to the hatch via drilling holes and attaching bolts through the hatch and into the wing. Additionally with that one they disable your wing so it no longer goes up and down and what you get are two static spoilers. Not my cup of tea but others might like it.

POST 3Original post

K-Man, thanks for the clarification. I suspected that they would drill holes in the hatch which is painful just to think about I didn't know that they would disable the auto function of the wing, keeping it down permanently. May me thats why they are offering it "cheaper" for 612 Euro (about US$806).

POST 4Original post

u need to cut 2 cable at the back.. i forgot which color.. brown and ... something else.

POST 5Original post

K-Man S is correct you will have to drill 2 holes in the hatch and it is permanantly fixed. You can disconnect 2 cables in the rear but everytime you get to 75MPH you will get an error message on your dash. The best way is to have it deactivated on the ECU and it will not produce an error message.
