Hi Guys, I ordered a Bosch S5 to replace the battery in the 996, but I've been reading some people don't recommend bosch batteries? Any idea why? Shall I cancel the order or should it be ok? It's a 780amp battery and 77AH. Cheers,

I have had Bosch Silver batterys on my Porsches as replacements for many years without any problems as they are a lot cheaper than Porsche batteries and last as long[ ] If you have a Porsche warranty then unfortunately you will need a Porsche one as anything else invalidates the warranty.[ ]

Have a Bosche silver series for 4 years, no problems, still on the car and working well.

Bosch Silver are probably better than the Porsche Moll battery, but sadly Porsche won't accept a Bosch battery (or anything other than a Porsche one) under their warranty terms.
