I'm not sure there is any other way to check than to remove the transmission (or engine/transmission if you're doing other work).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello everyone, I have a 2006 Carrera, the clutch pedal rebounds half way on spirited driving only. So when things are spinning faster, the clutch pedal gets stuck. I have to put my foot underneath the pedal to pop it back up again. I can also feel and hear a slight clicking noise when pressing the clutch pedal. I had my mechanic flush and replace the fluid but problem still exists. So I went ahead and ordered the slave & master cylinders along with the hose needed. I am hoping this may resolve the issue, but just in case it doesn't, anything else I should look out for? Any insight or experience-sharing would be highly appreciated. Thank You

POST 2Original post

I think it might be the pressure plate. More specifically, a finger of the pressure plate. I'm not sure there is any other way to check than to remove the transmission (or engine/transmission if you're doing other work).

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Oh boy, right now, the only finger that's under pressure is my crossed one!

POST 4Original post

Or Release bearing sticking (throw out bearing). If your slave cylinder job doesn’t do it, removing the transmission isn’t a bad job. Just make sure the engine is supported separately.

POST 5Original post

Bent/cracked finger on the pressure plate is likely culprit. Keep us posted. Cheers
