ALL used car prices are negotiable at the moment I would hazard - dont be afraid to go in with what you might think is a 'silly' offer.
All I have had enquire about my car is an endless list of dealers, who no doubt will shove it up for sale with £4k of bunce worked in, at least.
If I were in the market I would approach the OPC on the assumption that 2K in every 10K of price is 'negotiable', based on my experience.

I disagree, a £40K 997 C2S selling for £32K not going to happen, there is a shortage of stock out there. They might be more flexible on a 996 as more than likely a part-exchange as opposed to stock they have scouted for. My latest experience is people are paying sticker prices, certainly on 997's.
The sticker price will be the discounted price imo.[/quote]
Maybe in the day of Daewoo's . A garage is never going to put it's lowest price on a car. Majority of people like to haggle, so a garage is going to expect to have to drop the price as part of the negotiation. If they start at bottom price they have nowhere to go.
Re markup on cars, a few years back when I had Beemers, I was handed a stock sheet at the dealers, but by mistake they gave me the one for internal viewing only, with all the prices paid for the cars. I was quite surprised that many £20-£30K cars only had between £2-3K mark up. If you take in to account the prep for cars, TAX & VAT on profit, it doesn't always leave as big a margin as us punters like to think
I got over £4k off the screen price of my 996 C4s when I bought it last year, so dont be afraid to haggle!
I ended up getting an OPC supplied C4s for the price of one at an Indy
