Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Check there too' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'glass seal' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check drainage area either side of the battery' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Def not those drains as I've checked those, all working well.

I thought maybe it was the glass seal on the windscreen but that looks all ok, water flows off there and into the area containg the drain holes by the battery.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Went to the car today to do last preps for Sat and the passenger footwell is wet from under the carpet. Pulled back the carpet and it's soaking underneath. From doing searches I think it may be the AC drain tube as it's clear/clean water... Anyone have a PET type diagram of this area or experience of the same problem? :dont know:
Have you checked the drainage area either side of the battery? There are rubber drain plugs there and they often block with leaves and other cr*p. If there is a lot of water in that area, gently poke them out with a screwdriver. There are two on each side IIRC.
Edit: It's drains 3, 4, and 5 you need to check.
Thanks Richard, managed to find that on Rennlist together with a how to, seems it's a failry common thing...

So it's not the AC. Spent the good part of 7 hours chasing the leak today. Even drove to Camtune with the passenger seat out and the carpet all folded back to see if they had any ideas.
Finally located it to coming in above the footwell down the soundproofing. That means it's coming in from the bulk head somewhere. The drainage looks good and poured some boiling water down them to clear anything. Had the wipers off, pollen filter out, plastic covers off, still no real conclusion... All I can do now is hope unless anyone's got any further suggestions :dont know: :?
Sorry to hear of your woes Stuart. It couldn't be the door seals could it?
Had the same symptoms as my no.2 car. Ended up as a replacement seal as it was a known fault.
Not the door seals, all areas dry there. Tim at Camtune checked there too. It's def coming from the bulk head, around the area just under the pollen filter. I thought maybe it was the glass seal on the windscreen but that looks all ok, water flows off there and into the area containg the drain holes by the battery. It's just plain confusing. :?
I know you have trawled RennTech, but did you find these:

The images in the thread are exactly where my water is coming in through. :?:
Hi Stuart,
I had the same symptoms as you described - Here the picts for the vents that needs to be cleared up (if you havent done so already)

Another post with this issues as well -

I ended up taking it to JZM as couldnt find what was causing it. It ended up being the membrane (the one over the heater matrix). - Not sure where that is to be honest :?:
Membrane to heater might be a contender.
Def not those drains as I've checked those, all working well. No water under door so door seals are ok. Sunroof, checked there and blew compressed air down the sides where the drains are, still water coming in this morning.
