Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Been looking at upgrading my sound system, was looking at the new JVC KD-AVX77 Does anyone have one yet? and are they good they look really good http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JVC-KD-AVX77-...OD-IPHONE_W0QQitemZ190302518792QQcmdZViewItem

POST 2Original post

Don't know what it's like, but it's cheaper to buy at a specialist like www.audio66.com If it was me, I'd spend an extra £100 and get a double-DIN satnav system.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good point...could i fit a double DIN to a C2 1998?

POST 4Original post

Yes indeed. It's really very simple actually and cost is fairly low. A few of us have done it

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

can anyone point me to any units i can install...sounds great

POST 6Original post

Take a look at www.audio66.com . There are quite a few options, depending on your budget. The install won't be as easy as a single-DIN radio, and it won't swap back as easily either, but if you are keeping the car for a while and will get your money's worth then it's worth it.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the info.....i will be keeping the car for a while so sounds a good investment....would love to see pictures of anyone thats installed a double DIN....am i right in saying that i would need around 7inch screen

POST 8Original post

There are a couple of pics here: http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=44064 I fitted a 7" AVIC in my old C2 and a 5.8" in my Turbo. The 7" screen was much nicer. I didn't think it would make that much difference, but it does. I should have known that an extra inch makes all the difference!

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Richard very useful...i am not that bothered about the sat nav side of things so was looking at this model http://www.audio66.com/product.asp?...510817399685563657407&firstsel=cat&variation= Cheers Steve

POST 10Original post

Well, if you aren't going for satnav, then single-DIN would be OK. It's nice to have the bigger screen for maps and video, but might be a bit of an overkill for stereo and phone functions only. Installation will be easier too. Sorry if I've led you on a goose chase, but I just thought that if you were going to that expense you could get navigation too.

POST 11Original post

If you don't want sat nav then maybe look at something that looks OEM like the Becker Grand Prix?

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Richard I appreciate all the info.....i still like the double din....think it looks much better in the car....so may consider Sat Nav also...btw like the pics you linked to good job done there....all i need now is a good supplier and installer locally Cheers Steve
