Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, Just after abit of advice.... the time has come to replace the front & rear anti roll bar bushes and drop links.. is there a better option than the standard C2 conponents, and is it fairly straight forward to do?, any idea on part costs would be great too

POST 2Original post

Hmmm, how far do you want to go? You could improve the stock with slightly thicker Anti Roll Bars from the M030 suspension kit keeping it OEM... Or you could go aftermarket with something like this http://www.design911.co.uk/fu/pt65_...mance-Suspension/H-R-Sway-Anti-Roll-Bar-Kits/ Or, you can go all out and get the GT3 ARB which is thicker still and adjustable for dialing out oversteer/understeer. You would need adjustable droplinks for this, again more money. For droplinks in general stick with Porsche OEM, they do the job perfectly....

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks for the reply stuart, that gives me a good starting point, are the oem or after market kits straight forward to fit?, I'll probably look at changing the shocks/springs at the same time, any advice or the best kit / setup?, overall i'm leaning towards a harder track orientated setup. any idea on prices of drop links?

POST 4Original post

They're fairly easy to fit yourself, jack the car up, take the old one's off, replace with new. The different anti roll bars will give you differing levels of stiffness starting with stock, then M030/H&R, then GT3, least stiff first... Then you'll need to think about how much you want to spend on suspension. A good balance is the X74 kit from Porsche which is non-adjustable but firmer than stock. If you really want a track focused car I can't recommend the KW Variant 3's enough. They aren't cheap but then they also aren't the most expensive but they work really well... As for droplinks try TRG (TheRacingGroup) for adjustables if you go the GT3 ARB route. I got the standard links modified at JZMachtech and they work fine. The standard Porsche links work well with all the options and are fairly cheap. Couldn't tell you the exact price but for some reason £30 springs to mind :dont know:
