Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2002 C4, Vision built 4.0, GT3 throttle body W/IPD Competition Plenum, Ltwt Flywheel, other internal engine goodies as done by Vision Motorsports, exhaust and suspension upgrades, etc.
New to me, 2001 996. Picked it up in April of 2017. The car has been a blast. Completed a full season of autocross and several track days last year. Replaces my '79 SC I sold to buy a house.

Chinese cissor lifter , like all the brands sold in Europe , 3.5 T , one meter , electro-hydraulic system .
Price very cool but quality is not at the standards you could hope............but efficient .
The alloy ramps were made by me , cause of the height of the GT3 , very low.
Here's a view when just received , with the originals ramps , too short.
This is Felix. A 1999 version.
He wonders whether his headlights and tail lights are original since they do not have extensive amounts of amber in them (i,e, headlights are not fried eggs)

Got it few weeks ago. Already attended the Lone star Region concourse show last Saturday at Kehma boardwalk here in Texas. Sorting car out. I’m surprised how fast it is. Working on getting CDR radio to work. Need the code. I’m a retired tribologist with a bunch of dyno, racing experience. Indy, NASCAR, Pikes peak hill climb, international auto cross and NHRA. Will try to post photo.
Love this thread, especially since this is the car I'm looking at as my first 911 purchase.
Question: I know about the ruckus with the headlights design. I don't mind it so much, frankly. However, I was curious. Considering how so many people don't like them, I'm surprised no aftermarket company hasn't stepped up to offer some kind of retrofit kit to fix the look. Anything to that?
Thanks,
Scott

996 C2 RSR. Chassis is C2 and most of it not. Engine still M96 based and will remain such, still after heavy modification... More of this in:

We offer the
Variel Design headlight conversion covers
which seem to be quite popular. The "fried egg" design really has grown on me over the years.
This thread is making me really want a 996.. welp back to work.
The french on that sign tells me that you're no longer in Alberta! Well, that and the mention of Digby, Nova Scotia on your profile...
You went from AB to NS, and I went from ON to BC! We both ended up in 996s though so there's that.
I started to AX in 2009, first with my daughters 1991 Miata, then in 2010 when I got my 1979 SC running. IAX the SC until June of 2022 and picked up the 996. I love AXing and I love it in the 996. It is such an adrenaline rush i do it with the Metro NY PCA and we run 12 AX a year.
