Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Cheers for the replies, I have the extra rad in the center & also Alloy manifolds, so looks like i do have this option fitted then.

Suggestion
Another way of telling is making a note of the chassis number - you can see it from the front windscreen (at the base) and asking any OPC to run a check on their system.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've recently got myself a 996, and was told it had a factory engine upgrade (X51)
Is there a way of telling if this is still on the car, Where is the engine number for example, assuming it still has its original engine i guess this is one way of proving it has this as it was factory supplied.
Any other way of telling?
It has X51 in the list of option codes in the service book, along with a long list of other codes.
As a newbie here, is there a list of what these codes mean?
Thanks Simon.
Look under the bonnet and you'll find an additional sticker with the same option codes as those listed in your service booklet. It should also include the code X51. Another way of telling is making a note of the chassis number - you can see it from the front windscreen (at the base) and asking any OPC to run a check on their system. They should be able to confirm it has the power upgrade.
Welcome to the forum by the way. Can you post pics of your new car?

Welcome to the very exclusive X51 club, even rarer than Turbo X50!
As mentioned, manifold is cast alloy (look at the very top of engine, above and behind throttle body and below boot floor!)
Even quicker, but possibly "fakeable" (by relatively cheap upgrade mod), and assuming your car is a manual, the X51 will have a third central rad in nose cone PU.
You could rev it to the red line, X51s have a limit raised to 7,200 rpm. (that was a joke, don't kill your new car).
If you jack up the car you will see an additional oil pipe/lubrication line on bank 4-6.
I am assuming that you new motor is the Wood Motor Group car with full GT3 race seats and blue dials, blue seat belts, blue rear centre console (can't be more than one Riviera GT3alike with carbon spoiler). You have the "GT trims" aswell (addditional fins by exhausts).
Nice

I also note a considerable exra bit of grunt at about 5000 rpm, not a masive push into your seat, but can certainly feel a shove.
