Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The gap in the history wouldn't bother me too much as it has been used regularly and serviced on schedule by recognised names since.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Thinking of taking a drive to look at this at the weekend. Does anyone know this car? Is it worth the journey to view? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-de...6 Carrera 4S&postcode=dy82xw&model=911&page=2 Thanks in anticipation.

:welcome: to 911uk Cobalt is an unusual colour for a 996 and does look nice. It's late car but the asking price takes you well into 997 territory so all depends on whether the 'modern classic' look does it for you. As always an independent Pre-Purchase-Inspection including a borescope is recommended and it must be assumed that you are fully aware of the potential issues associated with the engines in these cars. I'm not trying to put you off but it's best to go in with your eyes fully open. Good Luck :thumb:

POST 3Original post

Lovely looking car, however unless I'm reading it wrong there seems to be a gap in the service history of 5 years where it covered around 18,000 miles? If true I would proceed with caution.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the replies. I had spotted the gap in the service but thanks for pointing it out in case it had passed me by, it looks lovely but I really dont want to jump into a nightmare... Think I need to ask a few more questions of the dealer before a long drive. Ian

POST 5Original post

I love a cobalt C4s, if Id originally bought that colour when I bought one a few years ago it would still be sitting outside.

POST 8Original post

That looks amazing. The gap in the history wouldn't bother me too much as it has been used regularly and serviced on schedule by recognised names since. So I would assume any neglect to have been rectified as more recent owners seem to have cared more.

POST 9Original post

Still waiting for you to sell that one. :thumb:
