Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am experiencing battery drain and after 2 days in the garage the car will barely start . My detective work on parasitic power drain has let me to discover that it was fuse box position D9 ( sound system power supply) that seem to be the culprit So far I have identified the circuit in the car that causes the power drain but when I have disconnected the M490 the power drain is still present. I am trying to determine what else is plugged in to the circuit as the problem goes away when I take the fuse out . Any help would be greatly apprciated

An old RAC Tracker I had forgotten was there ,

POST 5Original post

I'm too late to the post to be of any use .. had a few days off im afraid .. Fault is fixed but a heads up .. When doing a discharge check using an amp meter and the car in shut down mode .. if you see a pulsed discharge of upto 1 amp every 40 seconds or so which lasts about 5 seconds then its a tracker .. standard porsche ones anyways . The battery on these die and the tracker tries to recharge it with engine off which it should not do .

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
