Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Opened the passenger window and told the help to fill the car with 95 fuel.
Leading evidence: 'Fill car' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Fill car' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. While no where as dramatic I have to wonder if there's more then just styling involved in moving the oil and water fill ports from side by side in the little service bay on the 987 to opposite sides of the car in the 981?

And I also can't figure out how to set the little nozzle catch so you don't have to stand there with your hand squeezing the thing.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It took me a while to cool down then control myself from laughing after it ended up with no incident.
This morning I pulled at a gas station at a remote area outside the city on my to work to refuel my 991 turbo. I stopped the car at the gas station with the fuel opening next to the pump. Opened the passenger window and told the help to fill the car with 95 fuel. Moments later I heard him asking me to drive the car forward as he was pulling the nozzle towards the side air intake.
Before I get to realize what was happening another help jumped to my rescue showing him the fuel flap door location. Both went apologizing as I was trying to calm myself down from the scare I got and the laughter that followed.
It'd never crossed my mind that someone would think the air vents are fuel tank openings
I guess I'm the peasant now :hilarious:
Every time I count my blessings for having help at gas stations in the Middle East to fill the car especially in hot summer in Saudi Arabia or in cold winter in Jordan. But today, the scare got me to envy you guys in the USA.
I was truly terrified... and I don't want to think what could've happened if he started pumping.
Pretty scary indeed.
There are states here that require an attendant to fill for you. I think the reason given is safety. At what the job would pay I can't imagine it being much different.
Les
Tell you a better one! My friend's aunt drove off with gas hose still in her brand new E350, she realized it when she pulled up to her office, nozzle still there with a good portion of the hose, she was babbling on he phone! Thank heavens for breakaway hoses!
Can you imagine the drivers on the Palmetto seeing this woman drive by with a gas hose still attached? I'm sure plenty must have honked their horns, but knowing her she was too caught up on phone! LOL!

That's great! I live in NJ. If I'm driving to another close state like PA or NY (especially NYC) I'll fill up before I leave because I've screwed up the gas pumps so many times. Once in PA, instead of inserting my credit card into the credit card slot I inserted where the little receipt is expelled. Well, I put my card into the receipt thing and it swallowed it up. I could hear gears chomping down on my card. I had to get the attendant, and she got her boss, and they had to take the damn pump apart. All of that happened that so I could get the card back. And I also can't figure out how to set the little nozzle catch so you don't have to stand there with your hand squeezing the thing. I thought I had set it once only to see mucho gas running down the side of my car (a new 981S at the time) and down the street. I think I pumped 20 gallons into a 15.x tank! I've only done those things once, but there's others I won't mention. And yes, I've been driving since 1971, Yeah, they should have self serve, but they never will. Too big a lobby and low gas tax. Besides our illustrious "governor"has yet to figure out a way to weasel more dough out of the current set up.
Wow Danny. If the rest of New Jersey drivers are anything like you they should NEVER implement self service as they have in 48 other states, or however many have. Pretty frightening that you couldn't figure it out. You probably should stay in jersey.
This is very strange! Recently there are several posts across different threads harsh about NJ. I'm not sure I understand why.
Once I went to Six Flags in NJ by car from my hotel in Manhattan and returned back by the end of the day. All I saw was the beautiful country side of the state. And I liked it.
I can't get what's so bad about NJ!
Here in Oregon, it works like this . . .
Like Jersey, it's illegal to pump your own gas. Every few years, a campaign gets started to change that law. Part of the argument presented in TV ads supporting a change in the law is the obvious: having others pump the gas for us increases our costs. Then, each time, it comes out in the news that gas is as (or more) expensive in neighboring states (WA, CA, etc.) where people pump their own gas.
Then
, it comes out that the "Citizens for Freedom in Pumping" (or whatever they actually call themselves) is really a front for the petroleum industry. Then Oregonians get angry at the deceit. Then they vote against the proposal. Then we all go to sleep for a few more years while our gas gets pumped for us. Then the whole process gets repeated years later.
