Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

Otherwise the owners of some low priced, lighter, earlier 911 Targas, convertibles and coupes (all actual TYP 911's) might disagree (e.g., easy G series), using the same metrics.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

Without even looking at it, I would have said 996. That's coming from a 997 owner

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah? Do you know, I'd never have said 996. Honestly. I really though a cheaper GT3 would do it.

POST 4Original post

Interesting data, but I think the question should re-framed to be "which water cooled 911 gives the best bang for your buck". Otherwise the owners of some low priced, lighter, earlier 911 Targas, convertibles and coupes (all actual TYP 911's) might disagree (e.g., easy G series), using the same metrics.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not sure Haven't yet done the data work here to know. My gut feeling, though, is that the cost of the G series cars and the weight of the cabrios and Targas might rule them out against the winner in my film. To win this, you have to be cheap, light and powerful and you don't have to win all of those categories to take the overall prize.

POST 6Original post

Thanks Jay. It would be interesting as the early (e.g., 1976-1980) cars are lighter, have around 165-200 hp and the Targas and Cabs are rather cheap these days, here in Oz and in the US.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That would be interesting actually. Not more data entry though for a while PLEEEASSE!

POST 8Original post
